Karl Barth is one of the key theologians of the 20th century. Thousands across the globe love him or hate him. But do they understand him?
Barth’s magnum opus was his Church Dogmatics. This unfinished systematic theology spans four decades, fourteen volumes, and ten thousand pages. He wrote on such topics as the trinity, the Scriptures, the being and nature of God, the creation of humanity, the existence of angels and demons, and the reconciliation of humanity with God in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Since Barth’s time, it is impossible to do theology well without engaging with his thought and writings.
Karl Barth for Dummies exists to make Barth’s work accessible to non-academics. We don’t claim to know everything about Barth, but we do claim to have the most fun finding out.
